Amazon seller services gets fresh fund infusion of Rs 1,460 crore
Amazon, the leading eCommerce venture in the Indian webspace, has invested a huge amount; Rupee. 1,460 crore in Amazon Seller Services, according to documents submitted with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and shared in the Intelligence Report of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. Reportedly, Amazon Corporate Holdings leads the private funding. Ltd., Singapore and Amazon.com Inc. Ltd., Mauritius. Amazon Seller Services is the entity that operates the wing of the company to facilitate sellers in domestic and international markets to sell their products online.
The decision on funding was taken at a meeting of the board of directors held on October 29, 2021. This decision was passed through a resolution which agreed that it should be well funded to enable sellers to market their products. Amazon India, however, did not respond to an email seeking clarification on the news reports.
