Steps May You Help to Configure Amazon Seller Return Settings Step By Step

Sell Your Products Online in India: If you are selling your products on Amazon, it is important to know how to set up your return settings. By default, Amazon has a standard return policy that applies to all products sold on its platform. However, as a seller, you can customize your return policy to better suit your business needs. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to set up your Amazon seller return settings:

Step 1: Log in to your Amazon Seller Central account and navigate to the “Settings” tab.

Step 2: Under the “Settings” tab, click on “Return Settings.”

Step 3: On the “Return Settings” page, you will see the default Amazon return policy that applies to all products sold on the platform. You can choose to adopt this policy or create your own.

Step 4: If you choose to create your own return policy, click on the “Create a new policy” button. You will then be asked to provide the following information:

  • Return window: The number of days that customers have to return an item after receiving it.
  • Return shipping cost: Whether you, as the seller, will cover the cost of return shipping or if the customer will be responsible for it.
  • Restocking fee: Whether you will charge a restocking fee for returns or not.
  • Return address: The address where customers should send returned items.
  • Return instructions: Any specific instructions or requirements that customers need to follow when returning items.

Step 5: Once you have provided all the necessary information, click on the “Save” button to save your new return policy.

Step 6: You can also set up your return settings for individual products or product categories. To do this, go to the “Inventory” tab and select “Manage Inventory.” From there, select the product or products you want to customize the return settings for and click on the “Actions” button. Choose “Edit” and then “Offer” from the dropdown menu. Under the “Returns” section, you can choose to override your default return policy and set up custom return settings for that specific product.

Step 7: You can also choose to offer free returns to your customers. To do this, go to the “Settings” tab and click on “Fulfillment by Amazon.” From there, click on “FBA settings” and then “Customer returns settings.” Under “Return settings,” select “Allow customers to return items for free” and click on “Save.”

By following these steps, you can set up your Amazon seller return settings to better suit your business needs and provide your customers with a clear and concise return policy.
